One of the UK’s largest retail park owners says fresh CACI data showing a rise in in-store transactions underlines that the out-of-town format is best placed for retailers’ omnichannel operations.
Analytics firm CACI found that in-store transactions across the categories most associated with retail parks have increased in the UK, even as the broader market shifted towards online sales. The in-store share of those categories – household, health and beauty, fashion and general retail – rose from 64% in 2023 to 67% in 2025, based on analysis of how many transactions took place in-store versus online, drawn from credit and debit card spend data.
