Marking another strong year, which Next said was better than anticipated, the fashion behemoth reported its highest ever levels of revenue and profit. Next group sales rose 9.1% to £5,491m on a statutory basis for the year to end January 2024 (FY2023) compared to £5,034.0m the previous year. More generally reported total sales figures came in at £5,842m in FY2023, up 5.9% from £5,516m the previous year. Statutory pre-tax profit rose 16.9% to £1,015.8m in FY2023 as the retailer focused on improving product ranges, online service levels, managing costs and profitability. This increased the group’s statutory pre-tax margin to a robust 18.5%.
